I'll tell you, life is so busy. Mom, Caleb and Abigail can slow down a bit during the day if we are not running here or there, but in the mornings and afternoon/dinner times it is just a whirlwind. Two funny things happened this week we just had to share them.
For all of you who know Hannah and how she can tend to be in her own world (BIG understatement), you will enjoy this. On Wednesday night we watched the first half of Mr. Holland's Opus. I was making popcorn the old fashioned way. I poured the oil in, put in two kernels and waited for it to warm up. Seriously, I am laughing just thinking about this. Hannah was standing back a bit (I told her it would get hot) and she, while pointing to the pot and looking pensive said, "Um, Mom, I think you need to put a little more in." Oh, I am in tears. I couldn't stop laughing for about 2 full minutes. She is great.
The second thing happened last night at dinner. We always try to catch up with school things at dinner and hear how the kids' day went. We were fixing our tacos, making sure everyone had everything they need, and I said, "Caleb, how did you do on your spelling test today?" Now, I am constantly mixing up Caleb and Joshua's names, but they usually just tell me, "I'm not Caleb" or "I'm not Joshua." This time Caleb responded with a very confused look on his face, "I didn't have a spelling test today." Jeff started laughing and a few seconds later I realized what I had done. Caleb is getting quick!
Joshua did only miss one on his spelling test which is an improvement! He was getting only one right! We praise God for His faithfulness and Joshua's hard work.
It is good to laugh. We are having a good time here and thank you all for your prayers and support.
