Autumn Colours

Fall is definitely here and about to go. We have enjoyed the brilliant colours, the light wind, cool temperatures and falling leaves. The sun peeps out every now and then, but not for long. The strangest thing, is when it is starting to get dark at 3:30-4:00pm! I pick the kids up from school, and it looks like dusk if the sky is overcast. We do eat dinner earlier, though. I have found that the early evening is helping me get moving on our night time schedule.

The pictures are from around our neighborhood. I especially like the hydrangea which are on the walk to the kids school, St. Margaret's. Never seen this cooler before, amazing!

The sea oats and Japanese maple (sorry it is blurry) are on route to Matthew's school. Most of the others are taken from a fitness parking lot. The mushrooms were neat. The funy thing is that two older ladies stopped me to ask if I was going to take the mushrooms with me. Of course I said no, like why would I? Apparently though, you can eat this mushroom and these two were huge! Got a hoot out of that!

All is well on the home front. Caleb has a cold sore virus, which gave him a fever for about 5-6 days, but is finally doing better. Joshua has a strange rash that a really rich lotion seems to be helping. Never thought we would come across so many odd things health-wise. But this keeps us on our toes and helps us to be thankful that there hasn't been anything serious yet. God has been good to us.
Thank you all for your prayers, e-mails and letters. We have enjoyed the websites too, for those of you who have them. I like seeing pictures!
A funny note: Caleb woke up from an afternoon nap yesterday, and asked if I remembered Jack's black dog (Roo). Then said he wanted to go to the Pierces. I almost cried. Wish we could just beam ourselves to someone's house for an hour or two. Wouldn't that be nice?
Love you all - Rhea

Thanks for all the pictures and the updates. It's been fun to watch yall's transition to Durham. Here's hoping that Elizabeth and I get grants to spend a semester in England next year. It would be great to see you all.

Mrs. Rhea-
We sure do miss you. Mrs. Betty and I were just visiting yesterday about what a tough act you would be to be to follow for a new pastor's wife. Let us know if we can do anything or send anything. Love Ashley, and the Gurls
P.S. Dustin and his new wife are expecting in July.

Rhea, I hope you do still remember Roo. I am sure she would love to have your hugs and kisses. She is getting fat. Midnight had a 2nd round of kittens, 1 white, 1 striped and 2 black with white flurries in their coat. Melissa took the white one so Casey Jean will get to keep up with her. I sure have been missing you. I bought you some Mac and Cheese and Dressing today and wished I could deliver it personally. I miss and love you,
Nancy
