Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Wednesday evening Matthew started Rugby practise. He'll find out next week if he makes the team:) He does well at the sport and I think is learning to like it. This night though, it rained the entire practice (6:15-8:00pm) and was at times a hard rain. Thankfully it wasn't too cold. I was at football practise with Sarah and Joshua in the rain as well, but we did finish at 6:30pm. The kids got warm showers and hot chocolate when they got home. We'll need to like tea if this keeps up, it is much healthier. Matthew did have fun despite his look. The last thing he wanted to do was pose for a picture:) Posted by Picasa

The truth is B.J., that Matthew's hands were frozen and all he wanted was a hot shower and something hot to drink. It was cold, raining, and windy that night. He was freezing and that is why he looks like that. He could not use his hands when he got in the car. He walks in and we want a picture of him. I guess I would look like that too! You've got to be kidding is probably what he was thinking.

Good luck getting the children to like tea. :-) If you figure out how, let me know. But ours ask for cocoa even in the middle of summer!

We got some chamomile tea for Iain to drink in the evenings (he has trouble sleeping), which I thought he would take with a little honey, but he wouldn't even take that.

Glad your children are playing real football! :-) Ours are too: unfortunately, there are VERY few in Ruston who are even aware the sport exists. In Hattiesburg it was a very big deal. Here the program is pitiful and very sad (for example, the restroom at the ambitiously-named "soccer complex" consists of a Port-o-Let). But they are glad to be playing. We just have to make sure they use the bathroom before we leave the house!

jatb - thanks for the encouragement. We sure DO miss REAL football. Matthew has had a cold lately, and that really gets him down when he has choir AND rugby in the same evening.
The girls like the fruit tea with sugar of course, but we are still working on regular tea. I prefer the green tea myself, Twinings apple/pear green tea - wonderful!
Hope you all are staying cool in Louisiana. We hear it is still hot - wow!
