Girls, Saturday night, preparing for Easter Sunday

As you can see, the girls had a great time getting ready for Easter. Jeff, Matthew and I had a special day. We attended the sunrise service at Durham Cathedral for our confirmation into the Church of England. We are formally Anglicans now! We had to be at the Cathedral at 5 AM. With the times change, this was quite difficult. Jeff didn't go to bed at all, and I slept for an hour. We were up at 3:45 AM getting ready. The service consisted of Scripture reading in the Chapter House (professor Magonicle's room), where it was soley lit by two candles. We then proceeded to the main part of the cathedral, processed down with the "people in dressed up clothes" as the deaconess put it. She was quite amazing. We answered our questions in the front of the church, Bishop Tom Wright presiding. Then processed to the Baptismal Font where 3 of the 20 candidates were also being baptized. We were all sprinkled with water from the font as well. The Bishop dipped a large rosemary branch in the water and got everyone wet. It was fun. We then processed back to the front of the church, where we were given the Eucharist. We sang and prayed. All in all, it was a wonderful service, 2 and 1/2 hours long. Needless to say, we were very tired. After returning home, we got the children up, took the baby sitter home and got ready to attend Easter morning services at our church, St. Margaret's. The service was very nice. Spring is in the air and it was a very "up" day. We had our deacon over for lunch, then we slept while the children watched a couple of movies. It was a great day, and I think that I am finally recovered! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Miss you all.

Pretty girls!
I sure miss those girls. I'd like to see the "after" picture. We were watching home videos of Gabby, Hannah, and Sarah--they were so little! I wish Gabby would let me do the rag-doll curls!
Ja, where're the "after" shots? They looked so pleased with themselves. Pretty Pretty Pretty girls!
We're glad for you (and Jessica & BJ, too) that y'all have been able to make the jump to Anglicanism.
*sigh*
Yes, we did have a wonderful Easter here in LA. A season of reminders that He is risen! and attempting to plumb the depths of what that means to us.
Maybe a silly question, but did your clock spring forward last Sat. night?
Ed
Yes, clocks changed last week here on Easter morn.
