Here we are in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season again. It seems to come like a whirlwind and before you know it, all is calm. Enjoying each day is something I have to think about and reflect on during the day. Stopping, and having a time of quiet is difficult when there is always something to be done, but doing this has helped me to really enjoy my family and praise God for His wonderful blessings.
Matthew got his new violin yesterday and he will start his lessons in school this Thursday. He is excited and doing well with it. He wants to see how many pages he can get through in his lesson book, but he needs to slow down. You can't rush music and there are so many elements that need to be mastered to build upon. Pray for his patience and appreciation for hard work. He is doing well with it and can get a nice sound with the bow, which is not easy to do at first.
Hannah, Sarah and Joshua had two days off from school this week due to a broken heater. Joshuah sang and danced all the way home from school on Monday after we found out school was closed. They are glad to be back though. There are many events leading up to Christmas that all the kids are involved in and they can't wait for them. Matthew has his first choir concert this Saturday. He has one other night performance and about six performances around town and at schools. Hannah is a ball guest in the Cinderella play at school. Sarhah is an angel in her play and Joshua is a narrator with a speaking part in his play. The girls' choir will be performing in Durham Cathedral on the 11th from 11:00am-12:00pm. Any pictures I can take, I will and put them on the blog. What an opportunity for my kids. They are realy having a fun time.
Well, I need to hit Woolworth's today, they have a 10% off sale just today and Matthew needs black trousers for Saturday's concert.
Send me e-mails when possible - I don't get many e-mails and I want to hear what everyone is up to! I do enjoy the blogs so much. I will miss John Knox this Christmas.
Take care all! Love - Rhea
