Finally, one of me and Jeff. And, of course, Abigail in her new shoes and outfit from her cousin, Lauren. Hannah thought she was soooooooo cute! Abigail got a blue pair of shoes and a black pair. She wore the blue pair to church this day, and when she got changed after, she said "Shoes, shoes, shoes!" She did not want to be without her new shoes so we had to put something on her. What a doll.
This next picture is of Hannah and a certificate she received in school from the head teacher. Apparently, the classes compete all year to earn points and a trophy is given at the end of the year. Each child earns individual points and can also earn team points which are more difficult. The certificate is for earning 20 team points. We laminated the certificate for her and she is so proud. She is already close to 40 points now and about to receive another certificate.
Next are photos from the front of the University library and St. John's College where Jeff is a member. Two interesting points of interest.
I had not seen the library until yesterday. Abigail, Caleb and I were walking home from taking the kids to school, and upon arriving at our back door, noted that the door was locked. Normally this would not have been such a big deal, but with Jeff downtown (not sure where) and the neighbors gone and no phone, we were in a pickle.
After trying to pry a few windows and doors open unsuccessfully, we decided to walk downtown. I met one of Sarah's friends mom who said I was welcome to come over if I did not find Jeff. Very kind. We got to the cathedral and checked out the library where Jeff had a desk and locker set up. After getting the stroller through the revolving door and walking up the stairs, we surmised that Jeff was not there. Nice library though. Then we walked over to the Abbey house (building right-center with white windows), which contains the Theology dept. Not there!
We were about to walk to St. John's College around the corner, and here comes Jeff! Our adventure took 1 1/2 hours (we did take a taxi home)! Don't think I'll forget my keys again. Thankfully it was a sunny and warm day yesterday.
I get Hannah's pictures from Seaham Harbour back today. Will post them tonight or tomorrow. She is anxious to see them.
Matthew is doing so well. Slow at making friends, he has always been cautious. He has had A's in all his classes except for a few B's on homework assignments. We are so proud of him.
Joshua needs help with spelling. Pray for him! I know he will get better. His writing is much improved in the last two weeks. He is still a whiz in math though!
Well, take care all. Until next time...

I tell you what, that woman standing with that guy is the REAL beauty! Boy am I a blessed man. And lucky too! ;-) I have done my hair a bit differntly and let the goatee get a bit thicker but still groomed tightly. I have lost a bit of weight due to my gall bladder surgery and all the walking that I do here up and down hills! Durham is anything but flat! Thanks for the nice comments Brad. I only wish looking PhD'ish got one the paper, but I'm afraid I have a bit more that will be required. Keep checking on us; we love to hear from you.
