Times have been busy, and I don't think I will master the photo posting anytime soon, so the plan is to blog, blog, blog and put in photos when I can. It is Sunday and I am home with Caleb and Abigail. Caleb has had a fever on and off for a few days, and they both can't seem to get over their colds. A visit to the doctor next week is the plan.
Life goes on is today's title. No matter how much we enjoy our friends, when you move away, life has to go on. As much as I would like to call Nancy on the phone to get some encouragement about school, or laugh with Theresa about what trouble and double trouble are into (could be Caleb/Alexander OR John Micah/Abigail), I realize that to move on I must make friends here. I will be always thankful for our friends in Ruston, and I hope and pray that one day we can get together and reminisce. For now, we must immerse ourselves in our new surroundings, and continue to pray for our friends.
The kids are enjoying school. Matthew is learning French and German and having fun with it. His math is terribly easy, but even that is an encouragement to him.
Hannah is doing well, working hard and getting used to the structure of things which she so desperately needs! She is really rising to the occasion though, and working hard.
Sarah is bored. At the level of year 5 (with Hannah) she was placed in year 3 because of her age. Just on grade level above Joshua! We are working on getting her into year 4.
Joshua is learning to be silly with his classmates. Having to work on that at home. He is a whiz in math, a little behind in reading and needs lots of help with writing. Boys always seem to do worse at writing. We are working on that using his spelling words each week.
Caleb and Abigail have bonded, being at home together all day. They love to hug. Abigail loves it so much, she will actually hit Caleb so to hug him and say she is sorry! How funny.
Jeff is working hard on his paper that is due this Friday. He's been informed that he really does not need to learn French (relief!) but should concentrate on his Latin and Greek.
I am trying to maintain a reasonable schedule. Still can't get to bed at a good hour consistently. Our schedule is so busy. I also am practising my clarinet again and hope to find a group to play in. That would be a great source of encouragement and relaxation for me. Much needed too.
We are almost settled on a church. I am sure Jeff and I will post it when known for sure, with pictures. I am anxious to be a part of a church family.
That is all for now. I hope to blog several times a week to keep up with everyone. If you have a blog or website, let me know so I can keep up with you. Take care friends and family!
